Foot Locker Launches Revamped FLX Rewards Program

NEW YORK, June 25, 2024 (V SHADES) - Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) has announced the launch of an enhanced FLX Rewards program and upcoming updates to its mobile app. These initiatives are part of the company's Lace Up Plan aimed at driving sustainable and profitable growth.

The new FLX Rewards program, developed through extensive consumer insights, introduces FLX Cash, allowing customers to use points for discounts on purchases. The program also includes exclusive benefits such as priority access to sneaker launches, exclusive sales, member-only events, free returns, upgraded birthday gifts, and free shipping for members.

The revamped program features a modern design and a simplified tier structure:

  • Xtra Savings: Members can redeem points (100 points per $1 spent) for FLX Cash, offering discounts of $5, $10, or $20. They also have access to member-exclusive discounts and offers.

  • Xtra Access: Includes sneaker Launch Reservations, giving members priority for new releases from top brands, and access to exclusive events and experiences.

  • Xtra Perks: Benefits include free shipping with no minimums, free product returns, and upgraded birthday gifts.

The FLX Rewards loyalty program is now available nationwide in the U.S., both in stores and online. Foot Locker aims to achieve 50% loyalty penetration by 2026, with a long-term goal of 70%.

Foot Locker plans to introduce a redesigned mobile app later this year, featuring real-time launch updates with a "Heat Monitor," improved search and filtering capabilities, streamlined sign-in with biometric authentication, and seamless integration with FLX. In early 2025, the app will include a "Store Mode" allowing customers to scan product SKUs in-store and check availability.

These developments support Foot Locker's Lace Up Plan which aims to deepen customer relationships and enhance its omnichannel capabilities. The new initiatives follow the company's recent opening of a new retail concept at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, N.J., which has become one of its top-performing locations in North America.
