Converse and LAIKA Collaborate on New Coraline-Inspired Collection

HILLSBORO, Ore., August 16, 2024 (V SHADES) – Converse and LAIKA have announced a new collaboration to launch a collection of footwear and apparel inspired by LAIKA’s Oscar®-nominated film, Coraline. The collection, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of the cult-classic animated movie, will feature adult and kids' footwear as well as apparel that incorporates scenes, characters, and patterns from the film.

The collaboration marks another partnership between Converse and LAIKA, building on their history of joint projects. David Burke, LAIKA’s Chief Marketing & Operations Officer, emphasized the synergy between the two companies, stating, “The Converse team’s creativity and collaborative spirit make them the perfect partner for LAIKA — and we’re confident this collection will thrill generations of Coraline and Converse fans alike.”

In conjunction with the collection's announcement, attendees of the Coraline theatrical re-release in the U.S. will have the opportunity to pre-order the LAIKA exclusive “Star Sweater” Chuck 70 sneakers. Pre-orders can be made via a QR code displayed during the pre-show slides.

The full Converse x Coraline collection is scheduled for release in Holiday 2024.
